Welcome to NHHS!

Welcome as a new student at NHH and thus also a new member of NHHS – the Norwegian School of Economics Student Association!

At this starting phase, it’s natural that you, as a new student, have many questions. For example, you may be wondering what the difference is between NHH and NHHS? One thing you can note already is that both the school and the student association are particularly fond of abbreviations, so these are just two of many! NHH stands for Norges Handelshøyskole (Norwegian School of Economics), while NHHS stands for Norges Handelshøyskole Studentforening (Norwegian School of Economics Student Association). The next abbreviation you will likely encounter soon, if you haven’t already, is WW, which stands for Welcome Week. As the name reveals, we want to give all the new students a warm welcome by having various organized activities so that you will get to know your fellow new students a little bit better. This will happen from the 10th of January to the 12th of January. You will get a couple of lovely mentors, who are here to help you and will be with you during this weekend, ensuring that everybody has a good time. It will be created Whatsapp groups, where your mentors will add you and provide you with information of the upcoming weekend.
