Become involved in NHHS!
Do you want to join one of Scandinavia’s most active student unions? Now you have the chance! A position in the student union will provide you with many useful experiences, challenges and opportunities to work with something you are passionate about. You will get to know students across classes, as well as establish many new friendships.
A position in NHHS is developing, educational, and not least social. Theoretical knowledge from school is admittedly important, but practical experience from NHHS is extremely valuable later in life. There is a wide range of positions that can be applied for, and it is easy to find something you are interested in.
Whether you are attending your first year at NHH or are an experienced NHHS member who wants to have fun or is passionate about influencing the subjects at NHH, there is a position that is right for you! All we expect is that you want to learn something new and spend some time at the student union.
You can sign up for the election in the student association, both as an individual candidate or in a block. The first deadline to register your candidacy is Sunday 27 March at 12:00. The candidates will not be announced, but the Executive Board will be notified of who has submitted their candidacy. The Executive Board shall appropriately inform about positions where there are no candidates at the first registration, no later than twelve hours after the deadline expires. The second and last registration deadline is Sunday 3 April 12:00.
Registration is done by filling out the form by clicking on the “Register your candidacy” button above. Picture of candidate or block must still be sent by email to pu.valg@nhhs.no. If you do not submit text in both Norwegian and English, you will not be represented with any text in the candidate ink.
If you are signing up as a block, it is a good idea for one of the groups to register all the candidates and enter a short block text in addition to the individual texts.
To stand as a block means that a group comes together and divides the positions in the committee among themselves, and stands for election as a single unit. This is common when the entire board is elected at the same time. A block stands together during the election campaign. For subcommittees where not all board positions are up for election at the same time, you can NOT run as a block.
It is important to note that the election itself is a personal election, where you vote for each individual, and not automatically for everyone in a block. If two full blocks oppose each other, the block with the most votes in total will win the election. If the blocks have different numbers of candidates, there will be competition for each individual position.
If you are in doubt about whether you should sign up for the election or whether you have found the right position, you may want to inquire with the person who has held the position before.
From 08:00 on Monday 4 April, until the electronic voting closes at 12:00 on Wednesday 6 April, you can campaign. Then it’s about making attracting as much attention as possible through promotion. Further rules for the election are explained in more detail under “Rules”
On Monday 4 April, there will be an election poll at 5.15 pm. More detailed information about the poll will be published here on nhhs.no as the election approaches.
The election ends at 12:00 Wednesday 6 April. The results will be published on www.nhhs.no as soon as they are available.
Good luck with the election campaign and election poll!
Subject to change, see nhhs.no for the latest news about the election.
It will only be possible to give your vote digitally during this year’s election. On Canvas (under topics) you can vote from 17:15 Monday 4 April to 12:00 Wednesday 6 April.
More information on the voting process will be given as the election approaches.

Our main responsibility is to run Klubben, Campus and Aulabar and ensure that all of the groups at NHHS gets all the drinks they want. KKU´s tasks also include arranging parties and other social activities for the students. In other words: If something fun happens at the school, KKU is usually involved in some way or another! Our bars have a very high volume of sales and considerable income despite relatively low prices. When it comes to size, NHHS´s bars represent one of the biggest clubs in Bergen. Klubben is open on weekdays and is the go to club for arranging events at NHH. We can offer something for everybody and want to be the favourite choice for the times stud.NHH needs a break from the study-halls. The most important goal for KKU is to ensure that Klubben, Campus and Aulabar is run in the best way possible, and the members of the board must therefore continuously look for ways to improve day-to-day operations. KKU´s 40 members are arranged into 6 subdivisions and are helped by first-year students that work one shift in the bar during their first year at NHH. The board is responsible for interviewing and hiring new members to the group and plans the practical and economic activities for each semester. As a board member in KKU, you will be responsible at 3-4 parties throughout the year and have some regular shifts in the bar. You will experience that the tasks you must solve can be anything from tiny to huge. You will therefore learn to tackle situations quickly and find solutions to most problems. As the leader of KKU, you will therefore experience that the concept of a “chill night” in the basement won`t mean the same as before, and that “Klubben” becomes your second home! However, in the end it is the pleasure of leading KKU´s fine members through the big parties that is best remembered by any leader of the sub-committee. There is a lot happening from the planning weeks in advance until picking empty plastic cups from the floor at 3 am.
