There are several different funding schemes available for groups within NHHS. Which ones you can apply for depends on what the funding is for. Subcommittees primarily receive financial support directly from NHHS through the budget but can also apply to KS for additional funds beyond their budget. Interest groups can also apply for funding from NHHS but are primarily expected to seek external sources.
Applications for financial support for events or investments should follow the template found on NHHS-felles in G Suite and be sent to your contact person in the Executive Board (Kjernestyret) or to oko@nhhs.no. In addition, there are a few specific funding schemes for NHHS groups:
Høyskolefondene (HSF)
HSF can provide deficit coverage for open events such as student-run academic conferences, workshops, and similar events. HSF has three application rounds per year with the following deadlines for 2023:
Round: January 25
Round: April 21
Round: September 18
Fund for Social Purposes for Students
This is a small fund with one application round per year. Allocations from this fund also cover deficits but on a much smaller scale than HSF. The application deadline for 2023 was:
Round: April 21
Foreningen For
The foundation Foreningen For mainly supports the purchase of equipment, such as musical instruments, technical gear, or room upgrades. This grant scheme has two rounds per year, with tentative deadlines at the end of January and August (awaiting confirmation — information will be published as soon as possible).
All of the above funding schemes are administered through the Executive Board (Kjernestyret), which handles the recommendations. Applications are submitted digitally, and the Financial Officer sends out information via email to leaders and financial officers of subcommittees and interest groups as deadlines approach.

Event Funding Scheme
In 2023, a new funding scheme for events in NHHS was introduced. This means that if you, your group, or your group of friends want to organize something fun, there’s an opportunity to get it funded!
The purpose of this initiative is to replace discontinued grant programs and to make it easier (and more fun!) for NHHS students to create activities — with a quick processing time and rolling application deadline.
Examples of Events
Events can take many forms, such as:
Basement party
Waffle-making
Mountain trip
Revue / Aula show
Academic lecture / workshop
Themed party
Mini-concert
…and much more!
Guidelines for the Event Funding Scheme
The funding scheme works as a deficit coverage system.
The event must be open, meaning:
Low ticket price
Open to stud.nhh (NHH students)
The event should promote student well-being
Additional requirements:
Events should aim to use internal venues and equipment
Must comply with resource booking guidelines
Application and reporting requirements:
Applications are sent to Øko KS with Prosjekt KS in copy.
Decisions are made by Leder KS, Øko KS, and Prosjekt KS.
The application must include:
Date
Purpose / justification

Any other external funding applications
Need for internal resources
After the event, a report must be submitted describing the event and including the financial statement.
Øko KS provides updates on approved applications during FS meetings.
Application Process
Send your application to oko@nhhs.no with arrangement@nhhs.no in copy.
It will then be reviewed by KS (Leader, Finance, and Project), and you’ll receive a response regardless of the outcome.
